The Hampshire EP

As some of you may be aware I temporarily left Cleveland in January to graduate from Miami of Ohio, I'm officially done with school and finally graduating, at this immediate moment I am finishing the Hampshire EP and will be releasing it this summer, as once I began my acting career this past March I had to postpone much of my recordings and push back the release date. Anyways here is a finished track that I have yet to release, and stay tuned for more updates and information as I get closer to a release date.

Silence This Voice

Silence This Voice by michaeldavidgrepp

This song is important to me in the sense that it was one of the first that allowed me to really capture what it means to be people and to relate to each other, and the distances and walls people create from each other, and their attempts at silencing and hurting others, particularly those who seek to express or show the truth. The differences between you and me are so minute, compared to the near infinitude of similarities we all share. This song addresses this.

Digital Analogy

We will throw away our mobility
Turn off the computing possibility
Leave the tone of the ring behind
Take two pairs of clothes
One for the sun
One for the rain
Entertain nothing but the freedom we retain
We will run away
Travel by foot
One right before
One left behind
Two of a kind
To pattern a path to find
A purpose to right life in a left world behind
And the drone of our pace will echo
the empty hole of these social constraints
That is the life we choose to sample
A travesty to emulate
To have been shown an example
Paths led to consecrate
Where understanding is ample
Where happiness isn’t fate
Travel by foot
One right before
One left behind
Two of a kind
To pattern a path to find
A purpose to right life in a left world behind

Personals Uncut

In the last 5 months I have begun to get involved in acting in the Cleveland area. This Saturday and next saturday I will be appearing in a comedic play titled Personals Uncut at the Kennedy Theater in Playhouse square. You can purchase tickets via the playhouse square box office, over the phone, and I believe online as well. The play will be showing Saturday August 14th at 7 and 10pm and Saturday August 21st at 7 and 10pm, it should be a very funny night so make sure to grab a ticket if you can!

Here's the write up for it:
"Personals Uncut is an original play that explores today's best venue for meeting singles – online dating! The show is performed as a series of monologues that consists of two acts. Personals Uncut gives the audience an uncensored glimpse into the world of online dating. The cast portrays a wide range of colorful characters that gives the audience a taste of what's "out there" without having to type in a screenname. From the comfort of your velvet seat in the theatre, you are introduced to twenty-one eligible 'singles' looking for love (well mostly). So whether you’re curious as to what you might be missing or you’re an experienced cyber-dater, it will definitely be one hilarious night out! "

Michael Grepp at the Agora

While this is somewhat late in terms of posting, the show at the Agora went great with a fantastic turnout for myself and the other bands playing. Again I would like to thank everyone who came and remind everyone to keep their eyes and ears on the lookout for The Hampshire EP and anymore shows I will be playing in the future!

The Agora Ballroom April 30th

This friday April 30th I will be playing a show at the Agora Ballroom in downtown Cleveland. The Agora has been host to some of the best and most talented acts in Cleveland for quite some time, and I am honored and very excited at the opportunity to play at this venue.

There will be several other bands playing on friday with the doors opening at 7pm and myself going on at 9pm. You may contact me for tickets, which are 8 dollars a piece. I believe cover at the door will be more if you decide to show up later. I will be playing a 30 minute setlist which will consist of me and my acoustic guitar, and also a piano. Anymore questions or information just get in touch!
